Oven Thunder
My cooking was once referred to as "Oven Thunder"
Annie tried to make me feel better today after she literally had to run spit out the first bite she took of some broccoli I made by saying "At least I didn't throw up!!"
Actually, he just misheard the name of the Andrew Peterson CD "Love and Thunder" and thought I was talking about my cooking.

This is Oven Thunder, as opposed to "Island Thunder," an amazing Tom Clancy authorized (not that he had much to do with it) combat game. Lots of similarities. Explosive charges, can openers (both the residential and anti-tank options) guns, knives, and special forces operatives repelling from helicopters and rescuing hostages. Those last few are of course what everyone is talking about during Oven Thunder. Personally, I think Hope cooking is better than playing the game, because you get to eat something just finished at the end of Oven Thunder, whereas Island Thunder just sends you another mission.
I must say that there was no running involved in The Brocolli Incident.
And in my defense, Hope told me to spit it out.
And in Hope's defense, the spaghetti was wonderful. Just to clarify.
I don't know Joben, the next mission is usually pretty good in Clancy games...
Oh, and "rappelling" is what you do down cliffs, from helicopters, off bridges, etc.
"Repel" is what Hope's cooking does to...oh... nevermind.
Um...ok Joben.
"Oh, must have been a typo, there; you know how close the e is to the a."
Or, if you prefer:
"Yes, Nathan, I know it's spelled that way, I just wanted to give you an opportunity to insult Hope."
Yeah...I think Island Thunder probably beats Hope cooking. But I can do without Island thunder, and not without food.
